But the question is: Are we burning the candle at both ends by using young players too early and too much? Experience from developed football nations shows that pushing young players into adult match pace before their bodies are fully developed can cause serious injuries and slow down their development process. Financially, V.League clubs are facing a difficult puzzle: How to balance spending on quality players while maintaining sustainable operations? Revenue from broadcast rights and sponsorship is still limited, while operating costs continue to rise. This leads to heavy reliance on sponsors, and sometimes strategic decisions are influenced by short-term commercial interests. A notable point is the disparity in quality among teams. While some clubs like Hanoi FC and TP.HCM have strong squads and abundant budgets, many others still struggle with funding and personnel issues. This disparity not only affects the quality of the league but also creates a widening gap between teams. In terms of media, public pressure on coaches and players is immense. Every loss creates a wave of criticism on social media, sometimes not based on objective analysis. This can negatively affect players' mentality and the long-term development of young players. Looking ahead, Vietnamese football needs a comprehensive development strategy. Not only focusing on national team results but also building a systematic youth training system, improving the quality of the domestic league, and creating a professional and sustainable football environment. Only then can we expect stable and long-term development of Vietnamese football on the international stage. Football is a chess game with running pawns.
